Frequently Asked Questions

Got immediate questions? Here are quick answers to common inquiries from our patients.

IVF is generally recommended for couples with blocked or damaged fallopian tubes, low sperm count or motility, unexplained infertility, ovulation disorders, or where less invasive treatments such as IUI have not been successful. Suitability depends on your specific clinical profile, which is why we start every journey with a full consultation and investigation.
If you are under 35 and have been trying for 12 months without success, or over 35 and have been trying for 6 months, we recommend booking a consultation. If you have known risk factors — irregular cycles, previous pelvic surgery, or a partner with a known fertility issue — see us sooner rather than later.
Our standard work-up includes hormonal profiling, ultrasound and follicular assessment, semen analysis, infectious disease screening, and where indicated, genetic and chromosomal testing. Results guide the exact protocol our consultants recommend for you.
A typical cycle — from ovarian stimulation through embryo transfer and the first pregnancy test — takes about 4 to 6 weeks. Some patients require additional monitoring weeks before stimulation begins, which your consultant will map out during your initial visit.
Response to ovarian stimulation is tracked through regular ultrasound and hormonal monitoring. If your response is lower or higher than expected, our embryology and clinical team will adjust your protocol or dosage in real time — this is one of the reasons close monitoring is built into every cycle.
Most fertility procedures, including egg retrieval and embryo transfer, are day procedures — you go home the same day. Only specific surgical procedures, such as certain laparoscopies or myomectomies, may require a short inpatient stay.
